Pulling off the interstate with the clock running
Most overnight trouble starts before the tires leave the pavement. You run later than planned, the next park on your list turns out to be full, or you find out at the last minute that your rig wants 50 amp and the site does not have it. Tallahassee RV Park runs 20, 30 and 50 amp service at sites with water, electric and sewer, so tell the office what you pull and what power it needs when you call or request a site.
The park sits at 6504 Mahan Drive, a short drive from I-10 Exit 209A. Coming east from Pensacola, turn right off the ramp. Coming west from Jacksonville, turn left. The entrance is less than a mile on the right. One guest called it easy access from I-10 with no highway noise, which is the whole point of stopping here instead of at the exit.
If you are running behind or booking at the last minute, do not wait on a web form. Call (850) 878-7641 and talk to the office about tonight.
How a night works here
An online request needs 72 hours' notice, and the office calls you back to confirm. Under 72 hours, call (850) 878-7641 instead. Check-in is at 12:00 PM noon Eastern time, and the sites are long pull-throughs, some shaded and some open, for big rigs.
The park cannot promise you a specific site, but the accommodation for the stay you reserved is assured. Ask for what matters to you, whether that is shade, a particular amp service or an easy pull-in, and the office will do its best with it.
The regular daily rate is $77.00, and it already includes applicable state and local taxes along with the park's admin and software surcharges. There is no extra fee for children or pets. Good Sam, AARP and Military discounts are accepted, active, veteran and retired.
Leaving at 11, and what changes the bill
Check-out is at 11:00 AM Eastern time. The staff are out raking pine needles and leveling sites every morning, so you can leave the sweeping to them and point the truck toward town. Two guests told new arrivals to visit the Tallahassee Automobile Museum, which is half a mile from the park.
If plans change, cancel 48 hours or more before check-in and the fee is $10, with the remaining balance held as camp credit. Inside 48 hours, the full reservation balance is charged and nothing is refunded.
Football weekends are different. On FSU home game weekends the rate is $105.00 per night regardless of the nature of the stay, and the stay is prepaid in full and 100% non-refundable. Book those early.
