Why monthly sites go to a wait list
A nightly site turns over every morning at 11. A monthly site does not. Because monthly stays run three months or more, the sites hold their guests for a season, and the office keeps a wait list instead of a calendar. If you are planning a winter in Florida, a work contract in Tallahassee or a long stretch near the university, the first step is getting your name on that list, not picking a site.
The park cannot promise you a specific site, so tell the office what you need when you call: the size of your rig, the amp service it wants, and the date you hope to arrive. Tallahassee RV Park has run from 6504 Mahan Drive since 2002, and the monthly list is where the longer stays begin.
How a monthly stay is set up
The monthly rate is $950.00. It applies to stays of three months or more, and only to RVs of model year 2001 or newer. Monthly stays are not offered for shorter terms or for older rigs.
When no monthly site is free, the office offers a discounted weekly rate so you can start your stay and keep your place in line. Ask about it when you call (850) 878-7641, or send a request through the reservation form and the office will call you back.
Discounts for Good Sam, AARP and Military members, active, veteran and retired, are listed on the park's rates page, and there is no additional fee for children or pets. Football season is the one exception worth planning around: monthly stays through football season are prepaid in full and 100% non-refundable.
Living here between the oaks
A season is mostly small things. The laundry is open 24 hours. The clubhouse has a full kitchen, a pine-paneled lounge and a pool table for adults 16 and up. There is a pool, a dog walk area and horseshoe pits, and the loop road is lined with flower islands the staff keep up.
The house rules are the ones that make a long stay comfortable. The speed limit is 5 mph, quiet time runs from 10pm to 8am, and fires are propane only. Self-contained RVs only, and inside pets only, leashed, with no pens, crates or kennels.
One thing to know before you commit: there is general construction on the adjacent property, and noise is possible. The park posts that as a site notice, and we would rather you hear it from the office than discover it on a Monday morning.
